Market place information

Burge Market Place is in Burge Residence Hall and is located on the east side of campus.

You will find a variety of stations offering a fresh variety of foods, including made-to-order items. This location also serves a variety of soups, freshly baked breads, and specialty rotisserie meats. Burge Market Place is cashless and accepts meal plan swipes, Hawkeye Dollars, UI Charge, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. 

This entire market place is nut-free. This means that no nuts or nut products will be used in any products offered in Burge Market Place, including both tree nuts and peanuts. Burge Market Place will not be sesame-free, but items that contain sesame products will be marked. The Thrive station in Burge Market Place is void of gluten, plus the top ine food allergens (fish, shellfish, egg, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and milk). Some of the many rotating menu items available at Thrive include pizza, pancakes, wings, nachos, sandwiches, etc. All foods at this station are prepared in a controlled environment using separate equipment to avoid cross-contact.

There are several ways to get around campus, the Iowa City area, and even get out of town. University of Iowa Parking and Transportation provides more information about Cambus, parking, bikes, ridesharing, safe rides, and more.

  • Walk to IMU: 7 minutes
  • Walk to Kinnick Stadium: 25 minutes
  • Walk to downtown: 7 minutes
  • Cambus: Interdorm-WCTC routes arrive every 10-12 minutes during business hours.
