How It Works

Anyone is able to purchase dining gift cards for use in any dining-operated location (retail, market place, c-store). You can purchase a gift card to treat someone else or just yourself! Gift cards can be used towards the purchase of retail items, menu items at campus cafes, or a meal swipe at a market place location.

Gift cards will be available for purchase starting on Monday, Sept 20, 2021.

Purchase a Gift Card

To purchase a gift card, simply stop by select University Dining locations. You will then be able to select your card, choose the amount, and make your purchase.

Gift cards may be purchased in-person at the following locations:

  • Clinton Street Market, Burge Residence Hall
  • Union Station, Iowa Memorial Union
  • EMRB Café, Eckstein Medical Research Building
  • Food for Thought Café, Main Library
  • Atrium Bar, 2nd floor Hancher Auditorium

Gift cards may be loaded with any dollar amount between $5.00 and $50.00.

All gift cards can be used at any University Dining operated location. This includes c-stores, market places, and retail locations.  This also includes Hancher Auditorium concession stands.

Gift cards are not redeemable in vending machines, residence hall laundry facilities, UIHC dining and retail facilities, dining locations on campus run by a third party, or the Showcase gift shop at Hancher Auditorium.  Additionally, gift cards cannot be used at the Iowa Hawk Shop or any campus bookstore.

Gift cards can only be purchased with a credit card and not a blue requisition , U-Bill, cash or Hawk Dollars. All gift cards are non-refundable. If gift cards are lost, they cannot be freezed (like an Iowa One card).
