Dining Operations for Fall 2021

  • University Housing and Dining will return to market place seating at full capacity.  
  • Market places will return to a self-service mode of service in August 2021. 
  • Physical barriers (e.g. plexiglass) will not be implemented in the market places and retail locations.  

Dining Options

Students can select from two different styles of service, Market2Go and Dine-In seating. More information is listed below. 

New for fall 2021, Market2Go allows students to take their reusable container into any of the three market places, fill the container, and select menu items to-go. More information can be found here.  

Dine in seating allows students to enter the market place and consume their meal within the market place seating area.   

Please note: Grubhub online ordering will not be an option for market places. This service is only available in retail locations on campus.  

Meal Plans

  • A meal plan is required for all students living on campus.  
  • Only students living in apartments with university-provided kitchens are exempt from the meal plan requirement. There is not a plan to create another meal plan at this time. 

Market Place Cleaning Protocols 

  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout all market places for customer and staff use.   
  • All tables and chairs will be sanitized between customers.   
  • All surfaces will be cleaned at least once per hour using a product approved for COVID-19 use in a food service setting. High-touch surfaces will receive more frequent attention.  
  • University Housing and Dining Facilities have purchased a protectant called BioProtect. BioProtect is produced by ViaClean Technologies LLC, a biotech company that develops, manufactures and markets environmentally responsible solutions that protect surfaces utilizing unique and groundbreaking antimicrobial technologies. When applied to surfaces, BioProtect creates a covalent bond with the surface. This bond creates a powerful antimicrobial surface coating that inhibits the growth of mold, mildew, fungi, bacteria and microorganisms for up to 90 Days per application.  
    • This will be applied to dining spaces prior to student arrival. After 90 days the product will be reapplied to public surfaces such as, buttons, tables tops, etc. 

Retail Cleaning Protocols
